Equipping Christian Schools is dedicated to assist Christian school boards, leaders and teachers to develop the Christian perspectives, values, and skills needed to pursue their mission of effective Christian education.

Statement of Faith

Equipping Christian Schools is established on the tenets of biblical Christian faith and belief
Equipping Christian Schools programs and personnel adhere to the following broadly-held Christian beliefs:

1.  The inspiration of the scriptures: We believe that the Bible is the word of God, divinely inspired, and that its original manuscripts are free from errors and contradictions. It is the one and only infallible, authoritative, and trustworthy source of truth for faith and life.

2.  The one true God:   We believe in the one living and true God, eternally existing and in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit -- The Creator and sustainer of the universe.

3.  The person and work of Jesus Christ: We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, atoned for man's sin through His crucifixion. He was raised bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and will return personally to Earth.

4.  The person and work of the Holy Spirit:  We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Triune Godhead of one substance and co-existent with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit was sent by the Father in the Son's name to indwell, instruct, guide, comfort, and empower the believer for righteous living and service

5.  Human Beings:  We believe that human beings were created perfect in God's image and are loved by Him.  However, all humans became sinners through Adam’s sin and and are unable to gain God's approval or reconciliation with him through our own efforts.  We and our communities manifest our sinfulness in various forms of evil, corruption, sickness, injustice, and social disruption.  We thus need salvation in Jesus Christ. Repentant sinners are justified by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, and are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.

6.  The church is the body of Christ:  We believe that the church is the body of Christ both local and universal – including all who have been reconciled to God through faith in Jesus – given life by the Holy Spirit and endowed with the Spirit's gifts to worship God and proclaim the gospel, promoting justice and love.

7.  The work of Christians in the world:  We believe that, until the return of Christ, one of the tasks of the individual Christian and the corporate Body of Christ is to communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ and to facilitate the doing of God’s will on Earth.  That is, our work to ensure that our individual and family lives, our communities, and our nation reflect the order, peace, justice, beauty, joy and productivity that comes from our honour and obedience to God and our living in His provision.

8.  The second coming of Christ:  We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to fulfil the purposes of God, who will raise all people (living and dead)  to judgement, bring eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and establish a new heaven and new earth.
